As a Hardware Engineer you will be responsible for designing, simulating, debugging, and testing the electronic circuits for emergency lighting products, in Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China.

Reporting to the R&D Team Manager you will partake in all the activities in electronic circuits for emergency lighting products.

Your responsibilities

• Designing the hardware for fire emergency lighting and evacuate indicating products, including schematic, printed circuit board (PCB), firmware, etc
• Doing hardware debugging and testing
• Producing hardware documents, such as design specification, system design, detailed design, bill of materials, test specification and report, etc
• Performing hardware maintenance during product life cycle, such as electronic components second source evaluation and test, quality problem analysis and resolve, etc
• Doing project collaboration with suppliers, other departments inside company, other countries inside ABB group

Your background

• 3+ years of experience in hardware development
• Experience in emergency lighting and evacuate indicating products preferred
• Sound knowledge of CAD tools for hardware design, PADS, analog and digital circuits
• Familiar with power supply module design, safety and good to have EMC certification
• A bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics/Communication/Automation related majors
• Fluency in English communication
• Positive working attitude, good learning & communication ability
