Job Description

Data Center Group is searching for a Hardware Platform Applications Engineer to provide outstanding technical support to Intel product development teams and network, communications and storage customers designing with Intel® architecture Xeon®-D and Intel Atom® products.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Intel Architecture knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and outstanding customer communication skills to successfully enable major data center customer designs with innovative platform solutions. The successful candidate will work with Intel product development teams and customers to drive resolution of hardware and software technical issues.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or a PhD. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with both hardware and software, with a preference for Intel® architecture.
  • Experience in schematic, printed circuit board layout, and typical lab tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of Intel® architecture-based servers or network and communication systems with experience of one or more of the following: microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, platform hardware design or high-speed signaling/interconnects.
  • Experience providing technical support to tier 1 customers and creating 'customer ready' collateral/training.
  • Experience with PCI, PCI-Express, DDR3/DDR4 memory interfaces.
  • Experience with Linux, BIOS, or low-level programming.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
