Job Description

Your experience and skills include:

  • At least 2 years relevant experience in a high volume kitchen environment
  • Excellent knowledge of menu creating, nutrition, allergies, food preparations, all relevant health and safety duties and hygiene principles
  • An enthusiastic leader who is responsible for the kitchen, chef brigade and all dishes produced
  • An individual who is customer focused with a positive and approachable attitude to enthuse and motivate the team around you
  • The ability to look and plan ahead, working within and helping to set budgets
  • A flexible approach, adapting to suit guest and business requirements

What you will be doing:

The Head Chef role will involve working collaboratively with the General Manager and  Guest Service Manager, both creatively and practically to design and deliver appetizing menus across the food and beverage outlets whilst ensuring  consistency and quality are maintained.

The Head Chef will be expected to run all aspects of the department, from recruiting, training, leading and developing the kitchen team, to managing and understanding food costs and stock control, profit and waste margins and supplier management. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to create a strong relationship with the front of house team to ensure they remain informed and inspired.
