IB Coordinator & Head of Teaching Recruitment for IB Kindergarten in Guangzhou,
Location: Guangzhou
Salary: 35,000 – 45,000 RMB/month (pre-tax)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM
Holidays:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development and Teaching & Learning: Develop a blended approach integrating IB and National
Curriculum, stay updated on IB PYP changes, conduct regular classroom visits, develop interdisciplinary subjects,
participate in school events planning and management, chair weekly curriculum planning meetings, etc.
2. Documentation Management: Ensure IBO publications related to the PYP are accessible to all staff, maintain
records of completed planners and ensure IB documents are current and posted on Managebac, lead the
development and review of the school’s scope and sequence documents.
3. Professional Development: Inform staff of professional development opportunities and make recommendations
for on- and off-campus training, assist teams in developing units of inquiry.
4. Staff Coaching and Supervision: Plan orientation for new staff and conduct regular supervision within the teaching
department, identify staff needs and participate in the selection process for new hires, conduct performance
management, facilitate disciplinary meetings related to teaching performance as necessary, oversee teachers’
lesson plans and student reports.
5. Communication: Establish Managebac systems, publish articles about the program in the school newsletter or
public journal, respond to parent inquiries as needed.
6. Parent Education and Engagement: Participate in PTA meetings and assist the admissions/home-school
department with promotional events, conduct parent workshops.
7. Student Intake and Transition: Coordinate and facilitate the student transition process to ensure smooth
integration into the school community.
8. Student Assessment and Teaching Planning: Ensure adherence to BKIK standards for weekly plans, learning
stories, and progress reports, provide guidelines for teachers in completing assessment reports, develop and
implement templates for formative and summative assessments.
9. Marketing Event & Recruitment: Support and participate in all marketing events, carry out new student’s
observation and interview for recruitment purpose.
10. Mentorship and Team Development: Offer mentorship and guidance, provide regular supervision, feedback, and
coaching, enforce school policies and standards, address any misconduct or underperformance, inspire and lead
initiatives that promote excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
Qualifications:
1. Native English speaker with IB experience.
2. Passionate about early childhood education.
3. Caring and patient with children.
4. Bachelor's degree or higher (Education major preferred).
5. Holding IB Certificate, teaching certification is highly desirable.
6. Minimum of 10 years' teaching experience with children aged 2-6 years.
