Responsibilities:
? Professionalism and positive attitude
? Establish standard of care and maintain the quality of daily nursing in OB/GYN inpatient.
? Staffing management responsibilities including nurse’s scheduling, assignment, performance management, staff interviews & selection, orientation and preceptorship.
? Responsible for department nurse and midwife clinical competency evaluation and update job description
? Completes and improve the relevant policies and procedures according to clinical needs
? Anticipate the department growth and make plans to meet department needs.
? Ensure hospital policies and procedures are carried out properly.
? Interact and promote the relationship between OB/GYN staff and other department staffs.
? Assist chairman of the department in the areas of focus to meet their needs
? Act as a hospital supervisor as scheduled (see attached job description)
? Regular report to nursing administration department for nursing relevant issues.
? Attend the nurse leadership committee meeting mandatory
? Quick and efficient response to unusual issues
? Overall evaluation for nurses/midwifes working behavior and attitude.
? Works as a registered nurse-midwife whenever necessary.
? Competence of providing the expected style of labor support when necessary
Other Duties Performed-
? To hold department nurse’s meeting monthly and keep records
? Making statistics report to Chaoyang health bureau upon the requirement, attend maternal meeting at Chaoyang health bureau as needed.
? Help the OB nurse to pass the midwife licensure exam
? Annual health bureau inspection preparation
? Organize childbirth class
? Arrange case presentation as needed to share clinical experience and professional information
Qualifications:
? Licensing Needed - Registered nurse-midwife in China
? Minimal Education Requirement- Bachelor degree of Nursing
? Minimal Experience Requirement - 10 years working experience in nursing, above 5 years midwifery experience, Nursing management experience preferred
? Complete department orientation and competency evaluation according to policy
? BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification according to policy

? Understanding of the health bureau policies

? Excellent OB/GYN work experience and updated knowledge.
