Job Description
The successful candidate will:
• Oversee curriculum design and delivery (IGCSEs, A Levels)
• Lead on assessment, tracking, timetabling, and exam management
• Guide staff in teaching and learning development
• Support university preparation and oversee applications to global universities
• Take part in school leadership, co-curricular life, and occasional boarding duties
• Overseeing the production and processing of the entrance test and assisting with
interviewing for new Senior School pupils
• Organising Parent Teacher Consultations
• Attending SLT meetings as required
• To do other appropriate duties as directed by the Executive Principal, such as:
- attending some marketing events
- attending whole school events such as Foundation Day
- serving on, sometimes chairing, school committees
Requirements:
• Master’s degree, teaching qualification, and 5+ years of teaching experience
• Strong leadership background (e.g. Head of Department/Year)
• In-depth knowledge of IGCSEs, A Levels, and international university admissions
• Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
• Experience with academic data and timetabling is a plus
• Willingness to work hard, often beyond the normal school hours
• A team player who can also take responsibility for his/her own decisions

All teachers have shared responsibility for smooth daily running of the School as an entity -
and for maintaining the general ethos, routine and pedagogy in line with the King’s School’s
Aims and Ethos – as directed within reason by the Leadership team and the Executive Principal.
In so doing, they should:
- ensure that the School’s rules and policies are maintained
- attend School meetings and public events
- support co-curricular events and activities
- be prepared where necessary and within reason to cover for absent teachers
Safeguarding, Student Welfare and Pastoral Care
All teachers:
- must ensure that they are fully aware of policies and practices with regard to
safeguarding and student welfare
- must ensure that they adhere to the published systems
- must be role models to all students at all times
- must be prepared to do pastoral, tutorial work as designated by school leadership.
