The opportunity:
We’re looking for a Head of Aligned Advice to join the Partnership Distribution team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for growth and quality of advice provided through our aligned advice channel.
Reporting into the Chief Partnership Insurance Officer, this role is part of the Partnership Insurance Senior Leadership Team. It will manage a talented and knowledgeable team across areas of Practice Development, Business Development and Operations.
You’ll be an exceptional influencer and change manager who understands how to operate in a large corporate financial services business.
About the role:
- Responsible for the growth and performance of Advisers who are part of AIA’s FAP which includes new business sales, advice quality and compliance
- Responsible for the conduct and compliance of all advisers
- Be responsible for any client remediation, if required, and would involve establishing and implementing a coaching program for the impacted advisers, and/or coordinating the closure of advisers in breach
- Proactively work with and engage with the Adviser Conduct Committee around adviser performance and compliance
- Drive and define the strategy to support AIA Thrive and Multibrand (AdviceQual) advice strategy
- Drive efficiency using digital advice technologies (Xplan, eApp etc).
- Work in conjunction with marketing to drive customer leads into the Aligned Advice channel
- Achieve new business targets across the channel and other financial metrics linked to Lapses, Vitality Attachment, eApp submisisons etc.
- Establish a differentiated value proposition for the broader AIA FAP and methods to attract talent professionals to AIA Thrive
About you:
Strong knowledge and experience in the NZ Financial Advice Market with having have Adviser or BDM experience
An established network of financial advisers, and broad experience within the advice and distribution is advantageous
An inspiring and effective leader who can demonstrate the ability to manage and/or run and advice firm or distribution team
A strategic thinker with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Superior relationship management experience, with a proven ability to develop deep relationships at all levels internally and externally
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate to find solutions that meet business needs.
Demonstrated Training capability preferred
