Head of Assembly Tom Pudding Lane, Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire Siemens is creating its first UK based Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole in the East Riding of Yorkshire. With an initial contract to assemble nearly 50 trains to service the Piccadilly line on the London Underground we are starting to recruit up to 300 skilled technical and support colleagues at in our Manufacturing Facility. In the near future follow-on work is expected to bring this number of trains into the hundreds, along with an expansion on the site into maintenance and overhaul activities displaying a long-term commitment to the area and growth in employment and career opportunities. The successful applicant for this role will be responsible for leading the assembly activities of our manufacturing site in Goole. You will directly support the site General Manager and work with the wider leadership team, with a personal responsibility to deliver the operational assembly activities to the required standard, safely, within budget and on time. You will lead your own team of managers and technicians, enabling a culture of continuous improvement, empowerment, within the framework of Siemens values and expected behaviours. You will deliver to the production plan, building dyadic relationships with internal, external, local and international stakeholders. You will be supported by other specialists from the site management team and the wider Siemens community in your activities. It will be important to communicate your teams progress through the effective use of KPIs and an appropriate Dashboard to ensure that this high profile project will be a success. What part will you play?
