Job Description

The Head of Business Development – Greater China (BDGC) responsibilities include developing growth strategies, tactics and action plans to build IQ-EQ’s Greater China business. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve IQ-EQ growth targets for Greater China. The BDGC’s duties will include exceeding annual growth targets, understanding industry/client trends, managing a team of Business Development Directors while running a high structured sales management process.

The BDGC will work closely with the Asia CEO, Asia leadership team and the Group Segment Leads (Funds, Capital Markets, Wealth, & Corporate) to achieve revenue growth in excess of targets.

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

• Developing growth strategies, tactics, business development/sales plans and
intermediary plans.
• Ability to develop and grow new and existing relationships with intermediaries
and clients.
• Identifying business opportunities in target markets such as Real Estate,
Private Equity, Infrastructure, Private Credit, Capital Markets, Corporate and
Wealth.
• Providing market feedback to the company regarding competitive offerings,
prospect needs and generating product development ideas.
• Driving new services/products and their delivery into market including ESG,
Portfolio Analytics and MaxComply.
• Taking ownership of organic growth targets.
• Identifying inorganic growth targets for consideration by IQ-EQ.
• Implement cross-selling and upselling initiatives.
• Leveraging the Group’s internal sales network to drive growth.
• Drive brand awareness of IQ-EQ’s offerings through thought leadership,
media, and conferences & networking events.
• Ensuring that the business has a strong client management program and a
highly structured sales management process in place that this is
tracked/monitored to maximise outcomes.
• Managing a team of Business Development Directors.
Key Accountabilities
• Business development – Establish and monitor business development against
KPIs/target.
• Exceed annual growth targets
• Report regularly to the Asia CEO and Segment Heads.
• Sales Channels – Prepare and execute the business development strategy
across key market segments, including the following.
• Sales and Relationship Management – Originate and manage business
development opportunities.
 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, accounting or a related business field required

3 - 5 years post-undergraduate sales, Business development and/or marketing experience in financial services.

Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must along with experience in Hong Kong and mainland China.
