This position is responsible for managing and leading profitable growth of Employee Benefits (EB) sales through acquisition of new business and worksite marketing across all distribution channels in support of the Company’s profitability and sustainable growth objectives.Roles and Responsibilities:
EB Focus
- Drive execution of ‘go-to-market’ delivery strategy (as developed together with Segment Management) to achieve Company’s sales KPIs and profitability, i.e. Value of New Business (VoNB) and Annualised New Premium (ANP)
- Strengthen existing and establish new partnership relationship with direct clients (i.e. corporate clients such as HR Director) and channel partners (i.e. intermediaries such as agents, brokers, financial advisors) to achieve mutual benefits and profitable goals
- Responsible for negotiating and closing business relationships with direct clients through selling of value propositions
- Work closely with Agency & Intermediary Relationship Management teams to prospect and source new clients via intermediaries
Lead team to drive execution of the following:
- Accountable for prospecting and acquiring new customers direct to AIA
- Responsible for supporting Agency & Intermediary Relationship Management to engage channel partners (or intermediaries) for new business sourcing and solutions creation
- Accountable for developing proposals for clients by working closely with Technical Advisory Services and Segment Management
- Accountable for ensuring all new policies are set up and issued to the clients as per the required turnaround time
- Ensure all sales activities comply to the relevant Company’s policies and practices on risk identification, management of legal, regulatory and licensing requirements
- Track sales performance and profitability of accounts and prepare weekly and monthly sales reports
People Management
Build and lead an effective team to achieve business targets through ongoing communication and guidance
- Develop existing staff strength through coaching, regular review and feedback to increase team performance, productivity and motivation
- Enhance staff competency by ensuring development plans are put in place, carried out and monitored for success
- Foster strong sales and customer service culture by collaborating with colleagues across Company and partners to enhance client retention, persistency and workforce productivity
Others
- Drive successful implementation of assigned projects (where applicable) Set budget and manage expenses Ensure all activities and processes comply to the relevant Company’s policies and practices on risk identification, management of legal, regulatory and licensing requirements (where applicable) Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor Degree in any related fields of study
Experience
- 10 years of relevant working experience in financial services either in banking or insurance, preferably corporate sales and/or business development in a business-to-business environment, or human resources management consulting
- 5 years of track record in meeting and exceeding revenue targets in managerial capacity
