Brief Statement of Duties:

• The primary responsibility of this role is to architect, design, deploy and migrate resources to the multiple cloud platforms. Main IaaS will be in Azure. Hence, datacenter and cloud site resilience, backup, and high availability solutions will factor to every aspect of design and deployment. An understanding of modern Azure service offerings, strong automation skillsets in Azure DevOps, ARM, or open source technologies are strongly encouraged. Kubernetes, modern monitoring and alerting, and code integration experiences is a must
• Coach, develop and supervise a technical cloud team working in on premise, Azure, AWS and other SaaS clouds
• Responsible for the operation and support of the various cloud environments (Tier 2, Tier 3)
• Lead technical discussions with non-technical and technical stakeholders that drive decisions and implementation approaches
• Validate technical solution proposed by project teams/vendors and make appropriate recommendations to management
• Ensure the establishment, update and testing of disaster recovery procedures and plans
• Keep abreast of technology developments and capabilities and proactively make recommendations where necessary

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• 10+ years working experience in cloud operations
• Must be Azure or AWS certified and must have hands on and detailed technical skills
• Must have managed a global distributed user and applications environment
• Strong technical knowledge of Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure and SaaS
• Must have managed and operated hybrid cloud and multi cloud environments including private, public and vendor cloud.
• Must be able to define and build automation mechanisms for cloud operations where required including: build, deploy, update, patch, backup, restore, scale, extend, protect, enable adds, moves and changes
• Manage the availability of the production instances of our cloud services. Understand and be able to communicate the scale, capacity, security, redundancy and performance attributes and requirements of the cloud services
• Subject matter expert: be the ultimate escalation point for major cloud platform (iaaS mainly) related incidents
• Experience administering and deploying on cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Google and/or others), using infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation, Terraform, etc.), configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) and pipeline creation tools (like Jenkins)
• Solid understanding of the network stack (TCP/IP, VPN, HTTP, SSL, routing, etc.), cloud topologies (VPC, Virtual Subnets, NACLS, NSG, ILB, ELB, etc.) and storage (S3, EBS, Azure Files etc)
• Design and Implement hybrid and Azure disaster recovery, backup, and resilience solutions
• Design and implement Azure infrastructures to support 3rd party solutions and applications
• Hong Kong Perm Citizen is preferred
