Responsibilities


Main Objectives
1. This position is responsible for managing the corporate SDE team for the supplier development
responsibilities, including new supplier approval, support or lead supplier readiness activities, support
serial production firefighting for regional suppliers, regional focus supplier management, support SD
program by monitoring the supplier performance, regional risk management related with supply chain, standardization & integration with global, strengthen SDE capabilities by working with global team etc.


Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the corporate SDE team in the region including China, Korea, and Southeast Asia etc.
2. Responsible for the regional NSA – new supplier approval through working closely with global team, commodity purchasing, program purchasing, logistic etc., make sure the region is strictly following the global practice.
3. Support supplier readiness activities such as technical review, APQP, PPAP etc. per the request from
region or global internal or external customer.
4. Support for global ZF organization to solve regional supplier quality issues during serial production
phase.
5. Support regional supplier escalation management, such as level 2 & 3.
6. Monthly monitor regional supplier performance, initiate and coordinate the supplier development
activity based on regional supplier performance KPI status.
7. Work closely with global risk management team for the regional supplier risk management, such as
regional supplier risk evaluation, risk reporting, risk mitigation etc., coordinate cross-function team as
necessary for the risk mitigation plan & execution.
8. Manage and oversee all supplier management activities in the region AP to support internal and
external customers; establish, meet, and track all functional/regional objectives.
9. Organize the commodity SDE/SQE with all divisions for lessons learned and best practice sharing.
10. Work with global team to implement the SDE driver license certification, also need to develop SDE
competency to support business and global strategy by organizing related training. Overall tracking all the trainings within SDE and update the SDE competency matrix.
11. Secure the implementation of global process/ standards within all SDE functions including divisions, by monitoring or auditing for the SDE deliverables, report out the implementation status, such as weak area to be improved, great area to be recognized etc.
12. Provide training to the region on new processes; ensure consistent and appropriate training is
conducted for SDEs in the region.
13. Train the supply base in the region in collaboration with ZF Supplier Academy / know how
management team.
14. Assign, check work, track progress, enforce company policy, review performance, initiate Changes-In-Status, train and motivate employees, champion individual and team efforts, and aid in the
development of professionals to achieve individual leadership and company goals and objectives.
15. Maintain a safe, productive work environment for the employees satisfying ZF quality standards andpolicy.
16. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training,reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and
participating in professional societies.
17. Ensure departmental compliance with all IATF16949 and ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Basic Requirements
1. Working experience
2. 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment,specifically in the automotive industry
3. 5+ years in a management position in the field of supplier management, quality management, project management and/or supervisory experience
4. Education B.S. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
5. English Fluent
6. German/Chinese As a plus
7. Qualification Certified VDA6.3 Auditor and Internal Auditor preferred


Requirement, Professional Skills and Abilities
1. Deep knowledge in quality and/or purchasing processes within supplier development
projects, including working knowledge of process/production control methods (i.e. APQP,
PPAP, incoming inspection, etc.)
2. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
3. Proven ability to work independently and lead engineering staff and other professionals with
decisiveness and diplomacy
4. Proven knowledge and ability in methods of communication, motivation, negotiation, and
conflict management skills with a high level of initiative/drive
5. Familiarity with financial reporting statements
6. Solid working knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO 14001 standards and core tools
7. Good written and verbal communication skills
8. Ability/willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
