Role Summary

The role gives you responsibility in raising the bar for RS Components’ digital technology and digital marketing in Greater China. You will report to the General Manager, Greater China.

Within China you will have the opportunity to grow and develop a permanent technology team, form partnerships and manage technology suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • To grow the digital business in Greater China (which includes TW and HK)
  • Build, lead and manage a team responsible for architecture, engineering, operations and digital marketing in China
  • Manage technology suppliers and partners
  • Scoping and delivering all China specific technology investments
  • Selecting the best technology to create a China centric digital experience
  • Pursue integrations with RS’ global platforms
  • Champion technical excellence and the art of the possible
Qualifications and Experience

Financial & Legal Responsibilities

  • Role holder is accountable for the delivery of all Innovation services to the Greater China region including Strategic, Key, Small and Agile based projects
  • Thorough understanding of RS eCommerce and Digital capabilities, acting as the focal point for driving improvements that deliver commercial gain.
  • Detailed understanding of financial concepts (revenue models, P&L, and ROI, NPV and other basic benefit measures) to manage and influence prioritisation / funding decisions made by the relevant PMO

Essentials

  • Provide technical leadership
  • Create a world class digital experience though customer centric design
  • Build digital traffic through SEO and paid advertising

Your skills and experience include some of the following:

  • Management of a technology department
  • Launching new digital products
  • Running and operating a digital business (within a larger corporation, or as a stand-alone business)
