You will influence and drive improved EHS performance through the GB&I plc and affiliated businesses. To set and meet strategic objectives and targets that drive and deliver the Healthy and Safe @ Siemens agenda. As a coach, mentor and leader, you will take a balanced and measured approach to continually develop a team of EHS experts that meets the needs of the business now and in the future, whilst managing day to day operational activities. In addition to provide a governance structure and assurance strategy to the EHS Director. What part will you play? · Tracking of EHS legislative requirements/ future changes to ensure the Business fulfills all requirements. · Implement and maintain a proactive compliance assurance strategy to track UK businesses compliance with UK legislative and other requirements for EHS · Increase the awareness of EHS requirements and increase competence within the business · To plan and drive EHS risk-based strategies to increase EHS performance of the business · To support and develop the UK RC GB EHS team to meet the future needs of Siemens Plc · To contribute to the wider RC GB EHS team activity and Siemens Plc healthy & safe @ siemens roadmap and operational objectives outside of lead competences to ensure ongoing team flexibility to meet EHS challenges facing Siemens Plc. · Provide specific EHS technical competence to Siemens businesses and other stakeholders (e.g. Customers) as and when required. · We are not looking for superheroes, just super minds. Reporting to the EHS Director, you will drive excellent performance through a risk based planned approach and the identification and building of best practice communities. Provide advice and guidance as to both current and prospective legislation and how to implement and deploy such legislation across the business. Increase EHS competence throughout the business. Collaborate with a wide stakeholder community including but not limited to: Divisional EHS Directors, Senior Managers in the UK and Ireland, Global Divisional and Business Unit managers both in the UK and overseas, External Professional, Legislative and Industry bodies. Developing relationships with other key communities required to drive EHS performance e.g. SCM, HR, Project Management. We are looking for an exceptional EHS Head/Manager, who has ideally worked with the energy, manufacturing and technology space who has customers at the center of what they do. You will be a natural collaborator, and a thought leader in EHS. You will have the ability to communicate with all influential key stakeholders at all levels of an organization. A proven ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and have an energic and entrepreneurial approach and mindset.
