Head of English (HOD) – Bilingual School | Shanghai

Location: Jiading District, Shanghai

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of English (HOD) to join our bilingual school in Shanghai. The successful candidate will lead the English department, support curriculum development, and inspire both students and teachers through high-quality teaching and academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the English department across relevant grade levels
Develop and implement engaging English curriculum and assessment strategies
Mentor and support English teachers through observations, feedback, and professional development
Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement
Collaborate with school leadership on academic planning and school initiatives
Monitor student progress and promote continuous improvement within the department
Foster a positive and collaborative teaching environment
Requirements
Native English speaker
Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Education, or a related field
Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, teaching license, etc.) preferred
Previous experience as Head of English / HOD of English required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience in bilingual or international schools preferred
Passion for education and student-centered learning
