Job Description

Purpose of role:
Analysis, execution and reporting for the valuation of shares, companies and other financial instruments. You will deal with a wide variety of clients, sectors and types of work, which will be highly rewarding to an individual who enjoys working on diverse projects and the personal dynamic of working as part of a small team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients and internal team to establish and communicate work scopes
  • performing valuation analysis using various valuation approaches and methodologies
  • researching industry trends, comparable companies and transactions
  • writing reports
  • attending and contributing at client meetings, where appropriate
  • building and improving valuation models

Key Competencies:

  • Delivering results and meeting client expectations
  • Planning and organising, including managing a portfolio of work
  • Solid experience in the following financial instruments valuation:
    • Real Option
    • Convertible bonds
    • Warrant and share option
    • Pre-IPO share option
    • Preference share
    • Forwards & swaps
    • Financial guarantee contracts
    • Equity-linked financial derivative
    • Contingent consideration (profit guarantee/earnout)
    • Expected credit losses (ECL)

Education/Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional qualification,
  • Valuations experience gained within a professional services or boutique practice
  • Experience of valuation methodologies and modelling, including a history of providing these in a range of sectors and for a number of purposes, including for accounting, tax and commercial purposes
  • An appetite to be involved in business development activities and a willingness to develop these skills
