Job Description

You will deliver operational and strategic HR services in Hong Kong and support the implementation of global HR processes. As local Business Partner to the Commercial Director, you will streamline HR processes and look for best practice in all areas including Recruitment, Employer Branding, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management.

My client is a leading manufacturer of commercial equipment and domestic appliances. After a leadership change in Hong Kong, an experienced HR professional is now required to lead the function before the end of the year. Only candidates matching the responsibility and language requirements will be considered.

Description

HR Business Partner

  • Act as a strong business partner to the Managing Director and the Management team.

  • Lead the HR Team.

  • First contact point for overarching compensation & benefits, training, labour law.

  • With support of HR Director set up a HR strategy / roadmap / calendar, implement robust HR processes & practices.

HR Services

  • Define and implement with the HR Team crucial global and local HR processes in Hong Kong and partner with other regional offices, coaching the HR team towards excellence.

  • Responsible for 100 employees in Hong Kong, your team delivers the full complement of HR services and responds proactively to the requests of line managers and employees.

  • Streamline and implement HR processes, including Job Descriptions / Annual Performance Process / Talent Management / Training & Development / Recruitment / Salary and Bonus / Payroll / Expense Policy.

Organisational Development

  • Assess risks and implement HR transformation in the region in-line with local labour laws.

  • Ensure appropriate communication (internal & external) and manage negotiations with Works Council/Unions.

  • Push for change as an active Change Agent and drive a collaborative working culture.

  • Ensure redundancies in timely and cost-effective matter.

  • Partner with Senior Leaders to identify key positions with best internal and external candidates.

  • Provide all countries with established HR framework to act as one virtual organisation through streamlined processes.

Profile

  • Degree in HR and 10+ years HR expertise with a commercial angle in a local sales subsidiary.

  • Seniority and influencing skills at Senior Management level in a change management environment as well as excellent interpersonal skills on national and international level.

  • Problem solver, self-motivated, hands-on mentality.

  • Knowledge of local labour laws and experience in reorganisation.

  • Excellent communication and presentations skills both in Chinese and English.
