At the BMW IT Hub South Africa (Menlyn & Midrand) we are looking for a Manager with working experience in SAP and non-SAP Platforms, IT Architechtures and Basis operations to join the ItO and OtD IT delivery department. ItO "Idea to Offer" broadly refers to the vehicle design and development business processes and OtD "Order to Delivery" broadly refers to Production and Logistics business processes.
As the manager you will lead a team of highly skilled SAP and Non-Platform specialists and work in very close collaboration with IT Product Owners at our parent company BMW AG in Germany.
The BMW IT Hub South Africa delivers design, build and operations support for BMW Group IT systems used worldwide and covering most traditional, new and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities of this function include, but are not limited to:
- Key Account management of IT units focussing on "OtD Platform and Services" system delivery requirements.
- Delivery Management of Agile DevOps Feature teams for IT Products in the "OtD Platform and Services" IT Domain.
- Contribution in defining future "OtD Platform and Services" system strategy, templates, products & features for the BMW Group in order to support the future business and IT strategies.
- Close collaboration with external parties such as Service suppliers and consulting companies e.g. Temporary Employment Service providers, IT Services providers, IT Training institutions etc.
- Operate in an international environment spanning the different time zones – must be available to attend to escalations / customers outside of normal ZA office hours.
- Design & Delivery of Global products and „building blocks “ to enable fast and flexible solutions and standard platforms (technical standardization).
- Assures quality of the design, development, testing and operations within the supported IT Products.
- Monitors and continually adjusts and improves the IT Product delivery quality.
- Ensures the availability of the systems and services within the scope of supported IT Products.
- Problem, Incident and Change management.
- Accountable for 24x7 DevOps according to the agreed customer requirements.
- Implements and ensures compliance to IT Governance requirements e.g. IT Security, IT Risk Management and IT Architecture.
- Delivers all necessary support and assistance to the international process partners in alignment with the customer orientation approach.
- Sourcing international product pipeline and human resources in the above-mentioned context.
- B Com. / BSc degree in Business or Information Technology or Engineering or equivalent certifications, courses and work experience.
- 7+ year working experience in SAP and non-SAP Platforms, Architechture design and developments and Basis Operations is essential.
- 10+ years IT working Experience in the Engineering, Manufacturing, Automotive, Science, IT or related industries.
- 5+ years of experience in Management with exposure to Engineering or Manufacturing, IT, Sales and Marketing, Finance or Commercial functions.
- 5+ years experience in international projects or working on international assignments.
