The mission is lead and develop the AZ strategy of Pricing & HEOR of all the products of AZ Spain.. Leading main objectives and action plans to align business objectives with customers’ needs, also you will assess and lead the implementation of innovative pricing models, commercial offers and others.  Focus on new commercial models and pricing strategy of competitors, to enhance market access uptake. Engages with external stakeholders and internal customers on how innovative pricing approaches can be implemented to create win-win situations between patients, payers and AZ. Developing a cultural new mindset to move from price to value, incorporating it in tenders and others innovative proposals.

Responsibilities

Team Management and Development

  • Define and share the collective vision of the Portfolio ensuring the right strategy of AZ.
  • Define the workload by ensuring the distribution of tasks, functions and the management of resources.
  • Evaluate, recognise the performance of employees in accordance with the ethics and standards of AZ.
  • Implement actions to develop employees' skills by encouraging collaborative work and team spirit.
  • Accompany and encourage the transformation of the company in a crossdivisional way.
  • Work closely with the Value Access Leads and the Customer Value & Public Offers to ensure one voice and one strategy to achieve the goals all together

Business Strategy

  • Leads the P&R Negotiation at National Level
  • Leads the Ministry of Health and other key Ministries Engagement Plan to optimize P&R process and time to market
  • Leads the HEOR team that is responsible for HTA assessment at national, regional and hospital level.
  • Lead HTA external partner advocacy plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Pricing regulation monitoring & impact: RPOs, RDL, LoE ...
  • Leads competitive Intelligence on Pricing
  • Lead the Tender Public strategy accordingly with the market inputs and co-leading the strategy with the Value Access Leads.
  • Lead the commercial offers initiatives/ policies milestones strategy that can met in an efficient and timely manner according to the plan and local Working Process/ SoP.
  • Anticipated needs, opportunities and risks, and develop strategies accordantly with Business strategy and market situation.
  • Analysed and lead customer and competitive insights into strategy development.

Planning and Implementation

  • Develop & Execute HEOR strategies.
  • Partnering with Global Health Economics team to ensure the delivery of health economics projects (e.g. health economic models, detailed reviews, network meta-analyses, costing studies) meet the methodological requirements of HTAs agencies in Spain.
  • Take responsibility for the P&R or HTA dossier preparation and submission to Health authorities, understanding payers’ requirements and needs translating them in high quality health economic evidence, leveraging results from clinical trials, epidemiological studies, economic models.
  • Identify HEOR evidence requirements and gaps, design and conduct studies/projects/database analysis to generate data and RWE to support AZ products value demonstration
  • Product Technical Reports, Economic models and HEOR evidence generation to support product listing at Regional & Hospital levels
  • Development of HE tools/models that can capture the real world and long term benefits to differentiate AZ products
  • Disseminate HEOR data and studies results aligned with Value & Access Strategy, Commercial for external publication
  • Responsible for aligned with Access field teams, and works closely with national/ Regional tenders departments, leading AZ strategy with national framework agreements.
  • Lead the portfolio and the regions analysis where the company participates or could/should be participating in tendering activities
  • Lead strategy for develop/deliver trainings for the relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and lead the evaluation of new and ongoing initiatives, and the strategic fit of the initiatives to business objectives
  • Anticipate the evolution of the national hospital environment and the impact.
  • Ensure AstraZeneca's reputation as a leader among all healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

Ensure that all activities related to the role and the unit comply with applicable external and internal regulations (policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and Code of Conduct).

Requirements

Mandatory

  • Training: Degree / Graduate.
  • Spanish: Native/Fluid and English: C1
  • Computing: Office advanced level.
  • Proven experience of a minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • 3 years' experience in a similar position within the health sector or in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Computing: Office advanced level

Desirable

  • Specialized training in Health Sciences.
  • Master in Institutional Relations in the Healthcare Field or others in healthcare management or MBA.
  • Specific training in pricing and financing.
  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare environment and main stakeholders at national and regional level.
  • Experience/direct responsibility in commercial roles.
