Job Description
The opportunity:
As Head of Investment Integration, you will be responsible for leading Project Cherry whose goal is to deliver an aligned and integrated investment management Target Operating model for the New Zealand business.

What will you do:

  • Be the business owner for Project Cherry whose goal is to deliver an aligned and integrated investment management Target Operating model for the New Zealand business. The business owner is responsible for the business case and for driving the project.  They are pivotal to the successful initiation, execution and closure of the project, and for the realisation of benefits committed to.
  • Foster a project team culture that is empowered, has what is needed for success (appropriately resourced/capacity, right capability mix, timely decisions), and are supported on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure clarity of who the customer(s) is/are and their needs and, how the project will meet those needs (vision and target outcome)
  • Ensure clarity on the scope (and what is out of scope) required to meet needs and deliver the committed benefits.
  • Develop the business case and ensure it remains viable throughout delivery by continuously testing benefit / scope / cost / change / risk parameters. Where there are any changes, undertaking the Change Request / Re-baselining process.
  • Risk and issue management including taking ownership or escalation of specific items to ensure the delivery team gets timely resolution.
  • Formal and informal project tracking & monitoring across all parameters (time, cost, scope, resource, benefits, risks, issues).
  • Ensure the business and customers are ready for go-live:
    • Risk in Change: Identify changes to AIA’s risk profile impacts, identifying what new controls are needed and ensuring these are in place
    • Change Strategy and Plan: identify who is impacted and how, and developing and executing a plan to manage this to ensure benefit realisation is maximised.
  • Ensure benefit realisation plans are defined, activated, reviewed & and refined to ensure the business case commitments are met.
  • Work closely with the business owners for other Finance projects eg Halley & FAM to identify and manage dependencies.

  • Understand the end to end cost drivers of Investment businesses. 

Role related experience

  • Five or more years experience in financial services leadership.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand Investment Structures and Platforms.

Qualifications

  • Finance degree
  • 10+ years industry experience
  • 5+ years leadership experience
