What will you do? You will be part of Siemens Canada Limited Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit (BU) leadership team in Oakville Canada, reporting to the EP Business Unit Controller and will be responsible to define, implement and oversee logistics strategies of the business unit. Define BU Logistics strategy and ensure implementation of lean processes and execute logistics operations in the country Represent business requirements to operating company standardization/harmonization activities in the country Ensure local implementation of legal, Corporate and Division regulations & standards Define BU-Logistics strategy and roadmap for the country Execute local Logistics optimization projects/programs in BU Identify & implement logistics improvement & productivity measures Monitor logistics performance, costs and measure implementation Ensure logistic competence management in Drummondville Factory Conduct warehousing tenders Review and develop a strategy for logistics digitalization and embrace & recommend disruptive new technologies and improve efficiencies Challenge the status quo, fostering change management and introducing favorable disruptive concepts, ideas and solutions Execute operational logistics processes Coach a team of 3 Logistics professionals What will you need to succeed? University degree in either business administration or engineering or related discipline. Supply Chain or Logistics professional designation (CCLP, P.LOG, SCMP) preferred. Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Logistics professional. Profound knowledge of the relevant Canadian logistics industry preferred. Proven track record of implementing cost controls, achieving customer satisfaction goals, execution of cross functional, regional projects. Proven track record of executing digitalization improvement projects. Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office suite of applications. Ability to lead, train, coach, and motivate a team to deliver safely, efficiently, and timely the flow of material through the supply chain; demonstrated leadership skills and / or experience. Superior critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and initiate continuous improvements initiatives. Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently yet effectively make decisions under pressure in a culture of rapid change and growth while meeting deadlines. Strong work ethic and acts with a sense of urgency and purpose balanced with a day-to-day operationally detailed and hands-on focus.
