Marketing Manager
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering and executing the Communications, Digital and Marketing strategy set by the Director of Sales & Marketing and Commercial Director, for all departments within the hotel (accommodation, golf, spa, sales, food & beverage)

What you will be doing:
Communications:
- Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns
- Work with the Public Relations agencies and artists to oversee copywriting, design, layout and the production of promotional materials
- Field media questions and pitch stories to the media, prepare media kits and organise press/media trips
- Ability to write press releases and prepare articles for corporate newsletters
- Liaising with Accor Hotels Luxe Marketing & PR Directors to align opportunities within the Fairmont strategy
- Liaising with sales managers to align sales efforts with press/marketing efforts
- Engage in activity with Brand and Hotel Partners and explore opportunities for new brand collaborations in order to build partnership network
Marketing:
- Manage a team of two: Marketing Executive and Digital & Design Coordinator
- Manage all activity within the marketing department, ensuring all service standards are followed
- Execute marketing plans and programs in conjunction with the Sales department to ensure profit growth
- Oversee all marketing initiatives for the hotel
- Plan and oversee the hotels advertising and promotion activities, including print, digital and direct mail
- Develop and coordinate annual digital marketing plan
- Develop promotional materials, which include marketing print and collateral
- Brand guardianship/preserve brand standards
- Developing and maintaining hotel information collateral and sales team collateral for promotion to specific markets
- Implement and maintain collateral strategy for wider hotel that meets with brand identity. This will include liaising with and managing various creative/branding agencies on specific design briefs and marketing projects
- Seeking out and driving offline advertising opportunities/plans and campaigns with effort to tie-in press and promotional opportunities
- Directing on-site photography and video shoots: press shoots, film location shoots and internal marketing shoots
Digital & Social Media:
- Daily upkeep and performance of websites including brand.com
- Responsible for all digital marketing including, newsletters and tactical campaigns
- Social media management with Marketing Executive in devising social media campaigns and engaging with bloggers/influencers and guests pre/post-stay
- Database acquisition, quality and email campaigns
General:
- Balance operational. administrative and Colleague needs
- Follow the annual budget and administer that budget in a fiscally responsible manner
- Ensure the Marketing team are conducting regular competitive surveys surrounding benchmark and competitor marketing - both on and offline
- Be an ambassador for Fairmont St. Andrews, and on behalf of the marketing communications team within the overall department and wider hotel team (share information/achievements/news)
- Participating in daily team meetings and monthly departmental meetings
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when the situation arises
- Carry out additional tasks as instructed and by reasonable request from the leadership team
- Adhere to all Fairmont St. Andrews policies and procedures as outlined by the hotel
Your experience and skills include:
- 2-3 years previous leadership experience within a marketing or communications role required (not bound to hospitality)
- Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal in English
- A confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organisation
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others
- Proven organisational skills, works well on their own. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results
- Applicable job related skills as per Accountable Duties
- Excellent customer service skills, superior interpersonal skills, results-orientated and highly self motivated
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign and Outlook
- Knowledge of Adobe Suits (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) beneficial but not essential
Your team and working environment:
- Working in a fast paces team environment
- Shifts will be during the day and may include some weekend work
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining UK work authorization
