Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement marketing and communications strategy

Formulate and execute the marketing and communication plan and strategies of YWIES-BJ consistently including both traditional and digital marketing. Devise and manage all advertising, promotional and PR activities to optimise the number of enquiries; in order to maximise the number of students and market share; and to meet enrolment objectives and targets. Establish and use appropriate metrics to evaluate marketing effectiveness and optimize results.


2. Brand management

Maintain the brand image in accordance to the positioning. Establish credibility, and to build and optimise the brand awareness and preference through different channels, tactics and vehicles. Ensure the consistency of the brand image in all online and offline marketing and promotional materials.


3. Establish PR and media strategies

Develop strategy to gain access to major newspapers, magazines and other appropriate media, and build rapports with key industry bodies. Work out PR strategy and media schedule to maximise the exposure of the YWIES-BJ. Provide regular update of YWIES-BJ to the media to increase presence of YWIES-BJ.


4. Strengthen collaboration and partnership with key business partners

Explore collaboration opportunities with key business partners such as banks, corporations, vip clubs, pre-schools that can be helpful in attracting quality students. Form strategic alliance and maintain good relationship with these partners and conduct joint marketing activities.


5. Monitor market condition and competitors’ move

Closely monitor and evaluate the market conditions such as market trend, demand and supply, and other market changes from time to time and adjust the marketing strategies accordingly if necessary. Gather and review competitor data and activities on a regular basis in order to counteract or respond.


6. Manage the marketing budget and expenses

Plan and manage the annual marketing budget to ensure it is utilized reasonably and appropriately in achieving the overall marketing and communication objectives.


7. Plan and Execute School Events

Planning, execution and collaboration with stakeholders to organize and lead school event, such as International Day, Open Day, etc., to ensure the materials meet a high standard that matches the positioning of Yew Wah.


8. Manage and train staff

Recruit and build a proactive and capable team, ensuring each team member is fully trained and has the right level of knowledge and expertise.


9. Work closely with SLT and other Departments

Actively consult and support the SLT on the required communication topics and strategic activities.

Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure effective communications and relationships building, both formally and informally, to gain supports from both academic and non-academic teams. Regularly provide market update, data, competitive benchmark info & analysis and other marketing information or materials to head office as required.


Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

1. Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, MBA is an advantage.

2. Over 10 years’ experience on marketing or communication.

3. Possess knowledge, skills and experience in digital marketing eg website, paid search, mobile marketing, social media marketing,

4. Proven track record on developing and executing creative internal communication plans.

5. Excellent English and Chinese communication skills, both verbal and writing.

6. Relevant work experience in international school or education field preferred.
