We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Middleware Transformation and Portfolio .
Principal responsibilities
- Develop coherent vision of the future state of IT and the business case for transforming ES Middleware team aligning ITID strategy 2020 on DevOps, Cloud, Cyber Security, Big Tech
- Build the Transformation programme for 2020 by delivering capability efficiencies on existing services, capability uplift for core services and new capabilities
- Ensure good governance on the transformation programme and drive continuous portfolio optimization as measured by progress, impact and benefits realised
- Liaise and manage with ES Transformation and all stakeholders on the portfolio planning and joint priorities on the transformation opportunities
- Develop workforce capability and organization location strategy
- Provide consistently accurate and timely reporting on the transformation programme to executives
- Improved time to market by reducing infrastructure provisioning times and simplifying the root to live.
- Improved security, cost and control as a result of standardized infrastructure rollouts across all lines of business.
- Drives improvement of the overall platform by seeking to optimize and deliver new products and services to meet customer demise.
- Ensures a minimum amount of technical debt. Ensures appropriate monitoring and alerting is implemented to identify error conditions and support the provision of the availability levels required by the business.
- Ensures appropriate engineering and operational practices and controls are in place to support the availability levels necessary, supporting a move to continuous improvement and continuous delivery.
- Drives improvements in platform data quality and capture to facilitate both consumer and infrastructure team analysis to improve asset management and optimization, fault detection and root cause analysis and remediation, Change Quality, Configuration Data quality and availability etc.
- Govern the adherence to FIM Policy and Secondary Standards relating to ICP, ensuring a timely and accurate representation of breaches and formally agreed dispensations.

Requirements
- Expert level of experience in technology industry
- Possess good working knowledge of high technology industry
- Proven experience in delivering business transformation through technology solutions
- Effective verbal and written communication ability and comfortable with technical discussions with senior executives.
- Inclusive, collaborative, driving teamwork and cross team alignment
- Good teammate and willing to go beyond strategy in order to support execution and realization
- Strategic thinking, executive presence, sound judgment and ability to influence executives
- Strong experience of managing virtual teams across functions and geographies
