As new Head of Negative Emission Technologies (f/m/d) at SFS EQ you build and manage a global team, ensuring further implementation and development of this new business opportunity You identify and evaluate opportunities and define an investment strategy You drive, coordinate and support cross-functional transaction teams for the due diligence and investment process After investment, you focus on scaling and overall Siemens value creation within our investments, e.g. by connecting Siemens Industrial Business’ with invested companies You build and manage relationships with all relevant external stakeholders, e.g. partners, co-investors, financial advisors, as well as internal stakeholders, e.g. Industrial Businesses, Sustainability, Technology, as well as make sure that respective alignments are ensured You drive and deliver effective people management within the teams via different methods/tools You will take an effective role within the EQ leadership team to shape the future and collectively drive the transformation of SFS EQ What you need to make real what matters. Engineering degree (or similar degree) together with a profound understanding of early-stage equity, M&A, and other project finance structures A minimum of 10 years of experience with proven operational track record in financing / investment processes, ideally in a captive environment Advanced knowledge on negative emission technologies (NET) i.e. carbon capture, market drivers and key players Have an eye for optimal business models and risk-return profiles as the NET portfolio is built Very good understanding on how to integrate industrial business’ (IB) capabilities to industrialize and scale invested companies Experienced in managing and participating in cross-functional teams (transactions / value creation) and ability to mobilize resources External market experience managing stakeholders, market trends, and commercial arrangements in fast developing market environments Ability to highly motivate and manage a team to reach great performance. Professional way of and experienced in communicating with international senior management. Leverage market/internal insights to influence stakeholders with compelling business cases Demonstrable experience of working within an international, matrix environment as well as working with international, virtual teams In addition to your native language, you are fluent in English and German Please be aware that 20% travel is required for this role Do you want to know more about us?
