Wellington College Bilingual Hangzhou is seeking an experienced educator to lead the delivery of Pastoral Care in the Junior High School.
The role of the Head of Pastoral Care is to:
1. Acting as the designated safeguarding lead
2. Co-ordinating Wellbeing and taking a small teaching role in the initial year of the school’s operation.
3. Overseeing the provision of Pastoral Care within the school
4. Line managing the Pastoral Care team, including the Head of Boarding and heads of House.
5. Allocating house staff, tutors and overseeing tutor development
6. Line managing the medical boarding and counselling team
7. Keeping up to date with safeguarding legislation and best practice and keeping the SLT informed accordingly
8. Updating of relevant school policies
9. Managing an agreed budget
