Then come and join our Procurement Team as Head of Procurement Australia a& New Zealand, based in Hawthorn East. As Head of Procurement for Zone Australia & New Zealand you will implement and deploy the global Procurement Strategy of Siemens Healthineers and adapt it to the local requirements. This includes the implementation of Procurement standards, regulations, and guidelines as well as management of the global SCM / Procurement programs and initiatives. Effective risk management and mitigation is part of your responsibility and you will act as personal advisor to Siemens Healthineers’ Executive and Senior Management teams. You are expected to set up and be responsible for an efficient Procurement operation in Australia and New Zealand, to manage its resource allocations and related budgets. You will be responsible for a purchasing volume of A$70’M (approx.) and ensure that you are managing associated KPI’s in line with overall targets. Your responsibilities: Execute governance controls across mandated purchasing volume and activities (sector specific, indirect material & pooled direct). In context to the above the expectation is a for leadership & coaching role. Stakeholder management is a key attribute required for this role. Consistent and constant interactions and alignment with both stakeholders as well as cross functional team members are required to drive synergies, improvement and efficiencies in context of third-party material purchases. Prepare commodity strategies and execute negotiations (source to contract process) to ensure Procurement contributes to Net Income of Siemens Healthineers. Define local requirements and implement global and local procurement systems and tools in country. Represent the local challenges and requirements to the global team to ensure tools are adopted with maximum conformance and minimum disruption to the region. Ensure proper supplier management, supplier quality management and risk management activities are addressed in country. Lead and manage a team of 3-4 buyers/commodity managers for the Zone Australia & New Zealand and coach them on how to successfully seal and negotiate strategic Procurement agreements. Extend support/consultation for all procurement related requirements in country (e.g., in Managed Equipment Services, project business, acquisitions etc.) Support the alignment of regional/global procurement strategies and participate/actively contribute in regional meetings to maximize on best practise sharing. Drive end to end process optimisation (i. e. productivity) by utilising and advocating the efficient utilisation of modern technologies in the business. Be an ambassador of digitalisation and change management. Contribution to Net Income targets to support overall productivity (averages around 4-5% of Purchasing Volume) Close network with Siemens Healthineers Regional Procurement in Asia Pacific, to support and bring forward challenges represented in the country and find solutions. Your Qualifications and experience: Leadership: Leadership and coaching skills required to develop the employees in executing their roles. Stakeholder management: Take an elevated macro view on how procurement activities are affecting the business and identify actions to improve and further support the business. Digitalization: Bring forward experiences and ideas and participate with the global network to define new areas of digitalization in procurement and business process optimisation (tools, artificial intelligence, robotics) all towards minimizing manual workload and connecting workflows. Lean management: Experiences in reviewing current processes and how we can eliminate redundancies, improve turnaround time, and move towards more strategic management of activities rather than operational. Buying experience: Well experienced in negotiations, tactical buying, order placement, processes involved to facilitate process improvement plans and define way forward. Compliance Mindset: Familiar in developing sound policies and organizing workshops to promote compliance in procurement. Supplier quality management (source & evaluation): Experienced in accreditation, evaluation and audit of all aspects of suppliers quality management. · Tertiary degree preferably in Business Administration or Commerce · Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain programs · Certification in Leadership courses You must be able to provide evidence of your eligibility to work in Australia.
