Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock is now hiring a Head of Rolling Stock Procurement & Logistics UKI to join our international team in Goole and support our continued growth. As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for safeguarding a market leading Supply Chain Management performance at competitive costs derived from business requirements. In this critical role, you will have an overall responsibility for meeting localization requirements in bids and projects of Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock and orchestrating it with global and regional category and supplier strategies. In addition, you will also be responsible for compliance in local project procurement including P2P and for implementing Rolling Stock governance principles. What part will you play? Build up a small Procurement and Logistics team in UKI, which fully complies to HQ process standards Define and implement localization and related strategic procurement activities Supervise and train bid Project Procurement Managers (PPM) in how to develop winning proposals and support on time / on cost project execution Engage in and utilize the global procurement network of category managers and project managers to win local bids Ensure an industry leading sourcing process, incl. control of the spend and ensuring purchase-to-pay compliance Identify and manage procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, and claims during the entire lifecycle of a project. What you need to make real what matters Previous experience as a Procurement professional, preferably in the rolling stock environment Proven track record as PPM in tender and platform projects, preferably for the UK market Profound knowledge of the Rolling Stock Process World and PM @ Siemens would be an advantage Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate in a matrix organization with various stakeholders in UKI and HQ Willingness to question the status quo with a strong focus on problem-solving Ability to build trust and confidence quickly and professionally Growth mindset Language skills: English (fluent), German language would be advantageous (fluent preferred) About us We’re Siemens.
