What does the role involve?

1. Plan and drive quality related strategic activities in Plant 88. Take responsibility of further development of quality related Step Changers.
2. Maintain and further develop sustainable, preventive quality assurance processes, methods & tools with a target to achieve high customer satisfaction and to bring Hilti quality to next level.
3. Enhance continuous improvement processes to assure long term competitiveness.
4. Improve quality performance and implement structural measures to increase productivity. Support P88 to reach the business targets in a long term. Plan and execute all PMP activities.
5. Lead professionally Production Quality Engineers (PQE), Patrol Inspectors (PI), Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) teams to ensure an effective implementation of sustainable quality assurance system for existing and new products, to build a high-performing team and to achieve high employee satisfaction.
6. Manage resource allocations.
7. Further develop the technical and social competence of team members. Plan and execute all SMD activities. Additionally, train relevant employees for technical, quality and risk management related topics. Drive “Quality First” mindset and be a role model.
8. Ensure legal compliance on Health, Safety and Environmental area and alignment with corporate HSE targets.
9. Drive the preparation and execution of required activates for external certifications (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
10. Support development and relocation projects by validating the assembly and production lines.
11. Support the qualification of suppliers with professional audit activities.
12. Work on any other specific strategic or operational project assigned by the General Manager.

What you need is:

• 1. University graduate (Bachelor of higher) in mechanical, electrical/electronic or automation engineering is preferred. Overseas education/working experience is beneficial.
• 2. Excellent communication skills in written & spoken English and Mandarin, German is beneficial.
• 3. Min. 8 years of experience in Quality Management, preferably in manufacturing environment in a world class company. Experience in supplier quality and design quality are beneficial.
• 4. Experience to outline strategic targets. Logic and conceptual ability to turn the targets into actions.
• 5. Strong and logic decision making ability. Proven problem-solving skills in technical and business issues.
• 6. Previous people leading experience with good track records is required.
• 7. Familiar with local and global Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• 8. Experience of risk management and usage of the tools is required.
• 9. Know-how of manufacturing technologies, product development and auditor experience are beneficial.
• 10. Entrepreneurial spirit with goal-oriented and open mindset.
• 11. Superior computer knowledge in Microsoft Windows applications. SAP experience is beneficial.
