Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), ISO 9001 quality management system and Critical Manufacturing Control Point (CMCP) system. He/she should also ensure food safety systems adhered to local legislation, International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Quality Safety Alliance In-flight Services (QSAI) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of HACCP team, lab team and cleaning team under Quality Assurance (QA) Department
- Develop and maintain HACCP, ISO 9001, CMCP system and other food safety/quality related management systems, i.e. BRC or FSSC22000, etc.
- Ensure the Company in compliance with CPCS’ and regulatory requirements regarding the standards, systems, procedures and practices of food safety and sanitation to guarantee absolute wholesomeness of our products
- Monitor the Company’s hygiene performance and address issues identified by internal/external audits, micro tests, customer feedback, etc.
- Develop and manage manufacturing controls to achieve customer specifications and support business units to enhance their processes
- Improve customer satisfaction by understanding customers’ requirements and addressing their concern on quality and/or hygiene of CPCS products and services
- Drive quality excellence as measured by product evaluation, customer audits, internal and external facility and operational audits, CMCP and other quality management systems, etc.
- Monitor the overall cleanliness of the facility and waste and recycling management; and liaises with subcontractors on waste and recycling, cleaning, chemical supply and pest control services to ensure their performance meets with our standards
- Manage the department budget and expenses by utilization of manpower resources and equipment and waste minimization
- Leads, coaches and develops a team of quality assurance and laboratory specialists; and provide guidance and training when appropriate
Requirements
- A recognized degree, preferably in Food Science or Food Technology, or equivalent
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing management, of which at least 5 years should be at managerial/senior quality assurance level
- Certificates in HACCP / ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 lead auditor training
- Advanced Certificate in Food Hygiene / HACCP issued by international institutions such as is preferable
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in HACCP, ISO 9001, FSMS, FSSC 22000, HALAL and GMP requirements
- Candidate with knowledge in BRC, CMCP, IATA, QSAI Quality Assurance Program and prior experience in in-flight industry will be an advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively
- Self-directed, able to work independently and as a team
- Excellent in English and Chinese (including Mandarin), both spoken and written
