In this role, you will be acting as the market leader in China through an empowered organization that focuses on the customer and via process excellence and in accordance with the ABB way. You will be responsible for the local division Profit & Loss, and balance sheet.

You will be reporting to the Global Division Manager, Robotics. The position is based in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

• Implementing the Global Division strategy and ensuring business development and profitable growth in local market.
• Achieving business targets/scorecards through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed and ensuring profitable business growth.
• Evaluating new market opportunities and deciding appropriate activities in line with the strategy.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, while monitoring and responding to industry, customer and market trends.
• Ensuring production and execution of high-quality products, solutions, project, and services.
• Monitoring quality metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversees improvement activities.
• Implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB way, with a clear focus on optimized end-to-end business processes, while sharing functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
• Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
• Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates, striving to build the best team in industry.

Your background

• Relevant market and management experience in industrial or automation industry.
• Strong management background across the entire value chain: including R&D, Marketing & Sales, Production, Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Operation Excellence.
• Proven track record of both, strategic thinking and successful strategy execution with clear focus on results.
• Solid experience in P&L responsibility and proven successful business outcomes in managing growth, change and / or turnaround.
• Deep understanding of customers, markets and our competitive landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large cross functional teams, leading by influence and manage change.
• Strong global mind-set with experience in working with different and diverse cultures in a highly international organization.
• Well-developed networking and communication skills with proficiency in English.
