Job Description
Sales Strategy Development
- In collaboration with Head of Sales Western Hemisphere to define global route to market profitability metrics. Lead the development of precious metals sales strategy in Asia Pacific region.
- Identify & implement value adding adjacency to current business. Find & implement routes to market that generate significant value. Responsible for the communication of marketing strategy and key performance indicators
- Create, define and formulate the next steps in the China WFOE Trading strategy for PGMs and lead its implementation once it is approved. Responsible for the key performance of China Trading
Precious Metals Sales Execution
- Lead the execution of precious metals sales strategy and sales plan in Asia Pacific. Lead negotiations with key internal and external clients
- Drive customer relationship management, Budgeted Precious Metals Sales targets achieved. Ensures successful negotiations, contract negotiation and agreement and operating cost objectives achieved
- Achieve target P&L per employee and return on value at risk metrics
Team Management
- Managerial authority to lead the Platinum Sales and Marketing Team – Asia Pacific. Translate strategy and objectives to departmental team and individual annual performance commitments and their subsequent effective management.
- Lead teams in Singapore and Shanghai and ensure team compliance to the Anglo American is commercial risk policies, procedures and methodologies and take accountability for the team’s focus on continuous value identification and creation.
Qualifications
- Mastery of Sales & Marketing fundamentals
- Detailed technical understanding of the respective commodity
- Strong understanding of commodity industry participants, and global trade flows
- Theories & Principles of international commodity marketing and sales
- Strong preference for Asian Language skills i.e. Mandarin or Japanese
- Trading management experience
