Job Description

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEO so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.

 

The core purpose of the role of the Admissions and Development Manager is to be a brand ambassador who understands the school’s value proposition and appreciates individual parent and student needs to effectively promote and sell the school to prospective families. Head of School is also responsible for planning, development, set-up and implementation of operational policies and to ensure smooth operation of the School

 

Responsibilities:

Operation / leadership

  • To collaborate very closely with the leadership team of Woodland Pre-Schools
  • To fulfil the goals of Woodland’s strategic plan
  • To maintain a high leadership profile and strong presence for children, staff and parents
  • To evaluate the professional performance of staff according to school procedures, provide constructive feedback and deal effectively with instances of unsatisfactory professional practice
  • To respond appropriately to problems, crises and immediate needs of children and parents
  • To maintain regular written and verbal communication with parents and the leadership team
  • Organize parents’ events such as Meet the Families Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences and Open Days

 

Admission

  • Work closely with the Marketing & Admissions Director to implement marketing strategies
  • Develop personal rapport with prospective parents and students
  • Deliver personalized visit experience to each prospective parent and student
  • Conduct 1:1 and group tours of the school and answer parent and student queries during post tour consultations
  • Provide post tour follow up with each individual family continuing to foster a personal relationship
  • Manage inquiry pipeline – receive, log and promptly follow up
  • Oversee the maintenance of up to date records, schedules, databases and student files 

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in operation management in an education environment or related businesses
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation and persuasion skills in a 1:1 and group setting
  • Results oriented and driven by successful outcomes
  • Experience in dealing with clients in a multi-cultural setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Native English Speaker and proficiency in a second Asian language would be an advantage
