Head of Science (Physics) – Upper School
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Science (Physics) to lead the Upper School Science Department at a high-achieving international school. The ideal candidate will be a subject specialist in Physics with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and academic rigour.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and academic leadership to the Science department (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).

Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons to IGCSE and A-Level students.

Mentor and support subject teachers, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

Drive departmental improvement, curriculum development, and enrichment opportunities.

Monitor student progress, implement interventions, and liaise with parents regularly.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related field; Master’s preferred.

PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

At least 5 years' teaching experience, ideally with prior leadership.

Experience with the British curriculum (IGCSE/A-Level or equivalent).

Passionate about fostering curiosity, independence, and academic excellence.
