Job Description
- Identify and explore new technologies, initiate projects and design disruptive security solutions for cyber defense, security operations, cloud security, secure development, mobile security, digital identity and more
- Build and lead a team of world-class security experts that evaluate, design and develop security solutions, create prototypes, manage Proof of Concept and drive deployment and adoption
- Work closely with key stakeholders and peers in the global security and technology teams, as well as with the broader security industry leaders and innovators
- Provide internal and external thought leadership and promote a holistic vision of the next generation cyber security solutions
- Assess the impact to Citi’s security posture by exploring emerging technologies, paradigms and threats
- This position requires the ability to lead, define, develop and deliver end-to-end innovative security solutions
- Drive design partnerships with leading security, identity, and privacy startups to evolve their offerings to meet existing customer needs, especially in the financial sector
- Conduct continuous market surveillance to identify important new developments in the startup market, and work with CitiVentures where appropriate to facilitate Citi investments in early- and growth-stage startups.
Requirements
- Outstanding leadership skills; establishing vision and direction; acquiring and developing talent; and guiding impact-oriented execution
- A history of successfully leading a team of highly experienced experts in a complex organization
- An entrepreneurial passion, persistently promoting continuous improvement, overcoming technical and organizational challenges
- Proven experience with large and complex environments, excellent knowledge of enterprise security strategy, technologies, challenges, processes and operations
- A commitment to and enthusiasm for knowledge of security domain, current issues, and emerging capabilities
- Excellent communication skills – ability to convey a complex vision at both the technical and senior executive levels
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- In-depth database knowledge preferred
- Additional technical certifications preferred
- Demonstrated technical aptitude
- Advanced understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure designs
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proficient in interpreting and applying policies, standards and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
