About the role:
Technology & Projects Leadership Team
Lead strategic initiatives for technology risk and process improvements.
Ensure overall accountability for Technology risk, compliance, and audit matters.
Provide support to business leadership group around risk assessments, surveys and presentations, questionnaires, and queries.
Be a trusted advisor to the CTO and other leaders across Technology, ensuring that risks are surfaced, well-managed, risk gaps are addressed, risk acceptance decisions are strongly supported and sound and mature business judgment is applied.
Risk Management
Drive the implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, policies and standards across Technology.
Develop and deliver a risk communication strategy that supports the embedding of strong risk culture and drives an understanding of the risk management framework from the Risk Appetite Statement down across technology. Proactively drive the communication and provide training for this as appropriate.
Facilitate the identification and assessment of all material risks within technology and the design and implementation of efficient and effective controls.
Prepare reporting packs for the monthly OBRC.
Oversee the maintenance of business continuity plans for Technology.
Work with Local and Group Risk to promote and coordinate risk management activities.
Act as key point of contact for technology risk with AIA in Hong Kong, implementing risk initiatives as directed.
Be an ambassador and drive risk management culture in the Technology division and across AIA NZ.
Compliance
Develop and review Technology compliance plans.
Review and report on Technology compliance breaches and develop remediation activities.
Work with local and group audit and compliance to coordinate and promote audit and compliance activities.
Conduct and oversee QA assessments over System Development Life Cycle’s.
About you:
Have extensive experience in Risk, Compliance or Audit (with at least 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role in this area).
Knowledge of Risk frameworks and Risk Management.
Strong experience and understanding of all aspects of IT infrastructure and development
Demonstrated experience in communicating with all levels of business and Technology, including with senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience with developing controls to support compliance plans.
Strategic mindset. Ability to think about the big picture, and to think ahead rather than reactively.
Ability to communicate, influence and build agreement across senior leaders and matrix structure.
Ability to generate creative approaches to the evolution of IT risk management.
Recent experience in managing cyber security risk.
You’ll ideally have an understanding of technical security and/or have experience working in the Financial Services industry.
