To integrate groundbreaking future technologies, we are constantly expanding our portfolio with innovations. https://new.siemens.com/global/en/markets/battery-manufacturing.html The Head of Vertical Management for Battery USA is responsible to maximize market share and establish a local ecosystem for Vertical Battery in cooperation with Vertical Battery HQ and relevant regional functions to manage short, mid, and long-term objectives and economic according to strategic and operative targets defined jointly with Vertical Battery HQ. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • In your new role, you will empower and lead a team responsible for business development, account management and technical account management for the battery industry in the US. • You will be responsible for the Business Development of Vertical in the US. This includes developing and implementing the customer and business strategy (account development plans, sales structures, country concepts, business plans, etc.) in cooperation with Vertical Battery Global Community and the relevant sales regions. • Explore the business potential and seize the growth opportunities for Vertical Battery to enlarge the market share, install base and enhance satisfaction of Top Customers and Partners via effective relationship management. Create market & customer transparency and perform in depth competitor analysis. Identify and analyze market requirements and trends in Vertical Battery and use them to define specific product-/system requirements with respective business units. Coordinate international battery projects in close coordination with sales, the regions and the business units involved. Collaborate with sales organization to systematically capture product & system opportunities in Siemens CRM tool. Create references and success stories, accompany the continuous improvement process, ensure the quality and completeness of reporting, define measures, and manage the associated budget. • Provide local support for relevant headquarter functions for the best possible approach for the Vertical Battery to penetrate the local market and enhance Vertical specific expert knowledge about latest technologies and trends in the US market. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Industrial engineering, or related engineering fields (industrial automation background is preferred). • Supplementary business management qualifications or MBA is highly appreciated. • At least 5-10 years working experience in discrete or process industries with professional experience in a technical, sales-related department and holding deep understanding of characteristics, trends, supplier chain operation of automation, industrial networks, industrial power distribution, motion control (can change based on the person’s years of experience) • Sales experience and key account management skills as well as strategic mindset with effective customer orientation and readiness to intensive working, multi-tasking, and regular based traveling • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with internal and external partners of all levels • Competence on organization coordination & leading virtual team running smoothly #LI-VM1 Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
