Health Economics and Outcomes Research Manager

What you will do

The local Value, Access & Policy team consists of  professionals, who are working broadly to build resilient and equal healthcare. Value & Access team is in charge of securing access to innovative medicine by working in close collaboration with both internal cross-functional teams and with external stakeholders.

In this vital role you will impact on patient access of medicines, and you will contribute to the strategic choices made to ensure access to innovation. You are responsible for localizing health economic models and tools, evidence generation and value communication and initiation of local payer interactions with value evidence. Active engagement in cross-functional brand teams and building of innovative solutions to meet needs of brand strategy plays key element in this role.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and localization of health economic tools, such as health economic models, budget impact tools, or other data visualization tools
• Design and implement real-world data collection through local studies and projects that support building values story to be leveraged in submissions and value story
• Building and localization of values stories for local context, and communication of these contents to health authorities and regional decision-makers
• Participate as health economics expert in local cross-functional teams, cross-border health economic/market access colleagues as well as in external network
• Lead and prepare HTA / price & reimbursement submissions

You will be joining our Value & Access team, working across Amgen portfolio in oncology, hematology, cardiovascular, osteoporosis and inflammatory therapy areas. Under the support of our Value & Access team lead, you will be in charge of our health economic and evidence generation initiatives to best support access of our medicines.

You are result oriented and have proven analytical- and project management skills with the following qualifications:

Required experience and skills:

• Academic education (Health economics, Economics, Master of Science) and relevant work experience in health economics/market access
• Fluency in written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English
• Understanding of Finnish market access and healthcare environment
• Experience in communicating HEOR issues to non-experts
• Strategical thinker to be able to zoom out to think holistically and to zoom in on details when needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in health economics and economic modelling
• Experience of outcomes and RWD research
• Experience of healthcare related registers and their use
