As an Health, Safety & Environment Specialist you will be responsible for providing a positive leadership role in maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring safe behavior in our employees, enforcement of all safety and environment rules and recognizing that safety is the first priority in company in Process Automation Business Area in Chongqing, China.

Reporting to the HSE Advisor, you will develop and implement a regular EHS inspection and monitor to promote and follow up corrective and preventive actions, submitting regular reports to relative departments.

Your responsibilities

• Maintaining and improving a sound EHS management system in alignment with corporation business department, with the methodology of ISO14001, OH&S 18001(ISO45001) and ISO5001
• Performing/coordinating Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Identifying proper engineering and/or administrative controls and PPE for each position in company as well as implementation
• Implementing and maintaining a safety training matrix for the entire position in company based on the JSA results
• Establishing emergency response (ER) team under organization of company for potential emergencies, e.g., fire, spill and people injuries. Ensuring ER team with proper skills by providing training and drills
• Developing and implementing a regular EHS inspection and monitoring to promote and follow up corrective and preventive actions, submitting regular reports to relative departments
• Participating in incident investigations and providing recommendations for corrective/ preventative action to managers and supervisors
• Identifying the position involved industrial hygiene to establish systemic management to surveys working condition and employees’ health annually, and initiating actions according to practical situation
• Conducting systemic EHS management on supplier, contractor and subcontractor on safety

Your background

• 3 years of work experience in Safety, Industrial Hygiene and/or Environmental Engineering after University graduation within the preferred majors
• Sound knowledge of EHS and manufacturing, turbocharger system or maritime related is perfect
• Nationally recognized certification in EHS is mandatory e.g. Certified Safety Professional
• A college degree, major in Safety engineering, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Must have project leader/manager skill
• Fluency in English, good communication and presentation and strong implementation skills
• Willing to travel, work under stress and work on field site
