Helios Latin America RFE & Financial Reporting Manager - Hackettstown, NJ, USA (HKT)

Job Purpose/Overview

 

The LA RFE & Financial Reporting Manager responsible to support the Latin America (LA) Region and its key users with HELIOS Support and Training to ensure timely and quality corporate submissions in HELIOS and to FIS.

 

This is achieved by providing the North America units with both functional and technical guidance on existing and modified business requirements that support the HELIOS submission process. Leading small activities to maintain the current system or larger projects to dramatically change the way the business processes work.

 

This role develops relationships with the unit HELIOS users and management reporting teams to share experiences and best practice. This role has a responsibility to identify training needs and deliver training in a standard course or targeted functions.

 

This role also has specific responsibility to support the NA Management team with standard reporting packages for each period close. This requires direct contact with the management team to provide the necessary customer service to ensure packages are modified and delivered as required by the management team with the highest level of quality.

 

Requests are made to provide ad hoc financials to support business decisions. With complete access to Mars Incorporated financials this is a great responsibility as a Custodian and Copilot, to protect and deliver the correct information to those with the right level of authority. These requests are made from all management levels.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Manage all aspects of supporting HELIOS for the North America Region.

 

· Lead support and administer of both functional and technical changes to HELIOS in support of modified business requirements; model set-ups; McLean validation routines; and global item hierarchies.

 

• Support units in HELIOS Submissions and business process change.

 

· Expert in Financial Systems, primarily HELIOS and FIS/Essbase.

 

· Deliver the highest level of service and support as Regional Functional Expert

 

· Drive adoption of standard reporting options from HELIOS

 

• Manage NA Management with Standard reporting packages.

 

· Manage/Prepare/Deliver Period Reporting packages using Corporate Systems (HELIOS, & FIS/Essbase) and Microsoft Office products (Excel & PowerPoint). Ensure the highest level of quality.

 

• Project management of on-going activities, i.e. impact of organization changes.

 

· Review and challenge (when necessary) existing internal processes, gain and share best practices and drive system efficiency and effectiveness.

 

· Translate process requirements into responsible, efficient System solutions

 

• Share Best Practice worldwide. Establish strong network of knowledge sharing.

 

· Work with various global teams to ensure alignment of HELIOS. · Develop and train the HELIOS user base both in terms of skills as well as understanding. • Attend competency and other training as recommended and required. • Actively participate in global RFE network work and projects

 

Context and Scope

 

Regional Function Expert:

 

· Support NA region system submissions

 

· North America Region includes approximately 45 active submission units

 

· Deliver semi-annual key user training and “as-needed” lite user training.

 

· Copilot units with business change impacts to HELIOS process.

 

· Participate in Global RFE Training and Activities, including, but not limited to:

 

o Annual Face to Face, CIP Testing of new releases, Global Audits

 

 

Financial Reporting:

 

· Deliver high quality financial packages for North America Management Teams. This includes:

 

o Specific standard packages to support the North America Management Team

 

o Support the financial planning cycle by preparing packages as requested from North America Management team.

 

· Manage numerous ad hoc data requests for analysis and support. With information used to support business decisions, the information must be clear and transparent.

 

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

Education & Professional

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is a plus.

 

Knowledge / Experience · 3 – 5 years hands-on experience with Financial Systems or in Finance area with background / working knowledge of Financial Statements and Customer Care, with strong affinity for systems · Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. · Working knowledge of HELIOS and SAP

· Business Process and Information Technology Effectiveness –associate will need to implement, monitor, and continually improve processes in support of efficient and effective reporting; this position is heavily involved with financial reporting systems; associate must be comfortable migrating from one system to another dependent upon the reporting requirement.

 

· Analysis and Evaluation of Business Activities – associate will develop benchmarks, record metrics and prepare graphs in support of key business trends for use in strategic analyses.

 

· Financial Control – associate must have the ability to identify and assess reporting risks, understand reporting control concepts, document key controls and apply self-check audit practices. · Communication skills – necessary to work and communicate with local and global management teams. · Planning & Organization skills – ability to meet tight deadlines and plan out on-going project initiatives. · Strong Customer Service skills. · Perseverance. · Problem Solving

 

(All direct and indirect reports.) The associate is in contact with both management and non-management associates from the North America submission units, the GBU management teams and Corporate Office associates. No direct reports.

 

Other Travel Requirement · The job holder will be required to travel occasionally, to visit the region. We estimate this will be at maximum 10% to 20% of the time. This includes mostly domestic travel.
