Job Description

Key Accountabilities (Tasks & Responsibilities)


  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

  • Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.

  • Write training manuals.

  • Train computer users.

  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.

  • Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.

  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem.

  • Walk customer through problem-solving process.

  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

  • Clean up computers.

  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems

  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.

  • Install computer peripherals for users.

  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.

  • Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.

  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.


Qualification & Competencies

Education / Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.

  • 1-to-4 years of total experience as an IT Helpdesk.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems

  • Familarity with both PC hardware and software, experience with network repairs and analysis

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively to help customers fix their issues and fell satisfied with the experience

  • Writing and editting skills to aid in writing and updating manuals

  • Education in computer repairs and how to trouble shoot problems

  • Specific knowledge of other required computer systems for different work environments

  • Degree from a university or technical school is preferred

  • Good communication skills and Good command of English is highly preferable

  • Detail oriented, methodically working, stringent

  • Ability for own responsible activities and flexibility in daily work

  • Open for other cultural thinking

  • Open for changing processes and always open for improvement
