The Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. To take advantage of the many opportunities in the future for FPGA's, PSG is looking for an outstanding High-Level Design (HLD) Software Applications Engineer to join our Customer Experience Group (CEG) team specializing in HLD development using DPC++, one API, FPGA Design, Flows, and Debug.
As an Applications Engineer in CEG, you will be responsible to support Intel FPGA solutions proactively to enable customers to quickly get their solutions to market. Additionally, you will interface directly with cross functional teams to quickly resolve complex technical issues to allow customers to meet the market demands.
Your specific role includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing guidance from a customer and systems perspective to cross functional teams to create optimal solutions.
- Creating demos to showcase the capabilities of Intel PSG solutions.
- Handling customer escalations to provide solutions to meet customer requirements and working directly with development teams to build improved solutions in the future.
- Providing product readiness feedback as an early user to cross functional teams and managing efforts to improve the product.
- Developing reference designs or subcomponents to align with key market strategies, which allows customers to evaluate the technology while offering a starting point for their project.
- Driving the strategy of new technology training for both internal and external audiences.
- Authoring documentation and other applicable materials to explain products and solutions.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related STEM field (documentation related to Bachelor's degree completion will be required).
- Intermediate to advanced English.
- 3+ months of experience in either of the following:
- Area within FPGA/ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design using HDL (Hardware Description Language).
- Area within Intel FPGA Design Entry Tools or related.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an area related to FPGA RTL (Register-Transfer Level) Design.
- Experience working on customer engagements, applications development.
- Experience with one API, OpenCL, HLS (High Level Synthesis), Quartus, and other FPGA centric design flows and tools.
- Experience in complex FPGA systems using IP such as PCI e (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), DDR (Double Data Rate), and Ethernet.
- Experience in HDL, verification, and general computational logic design/verification concepts.
- Experience with any of the following: Verilog/VHDL, TCL (Tool command language), C/C++, Python.
- Experience with Modelsim, Git, and development tool.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
