Provide excellent underwriting service to HNW distributors, competitive and yet in the interest of the company. Maintain and build up good relationship with distributors, direct access to/by distribution channels for effective communications

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain service turnaround, make sure it falls within company benchmark (45%)
• Work closely with Case Managers, Partnership Distributions (PD) and Private Client Services (PCS), convey clear messages (20%)
• Communicate with brokers/agents for better understanding (10%)
• Relationship building with key brokers/agencies (5%)
• Work with reinsurers to obtain best possible offers (5%)
• Take up ad-hoc assignments from direct manager (5%)
• Provides training for junior underwriters for development to mature HNW underwriters (5%)

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University/College graduate
• At least 7 years relevant underwriting experience, HNW experience an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong management and people skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin an advantage
• Good command of presentation & problem solving skills
• Outgoing personality, willing to work with people
• You are required to obtain the license of Insurance Authority (IA) ( IIQE Paper 1, 3 & 5 ) or any licenses if your job involves regulated activities
