Qualifications you require in potential applicants:
-Education:
•Graduate qualified teacher
•Bachelor’s degree in subject related area
•Master’s degree an advantage
-Skills and experience:
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in teaching IGCSE/A-level in the subject Area
•Demonstrate experience in working with students in a learning focused environment
•Must be able to make decisions around lesson content and sequencing, assessment of students’ performance and evaluation of teaching programme
•Ability to build and manage professional relationships with colleagues, senior leadership team, students and parents.
•Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure
•Committed and responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students

-Duties and responsibility:
•Ensuring that students achievements in Economics meets all agreed targets
•Provide HOD with monthly teaching plans in line with the scheme of work (SOW)and a copy to the Academic principal, advises HOD regarding own specialized subject resources
•Set and mark the continuous assessment tests (CAT) in accordance with the assessment policy, homework assignment
•Accept to be a class supervisor or form tutor as maybe assigned by the Head of Pastoral and attend pastoral meetings
•Write references to students and helps them to edit their personal statements for application to university
•Participate in meetings with parents, open Days, and all school functions
•Sets and supervise at least one extra-curricular activity
•Invigilate exams as per the arrangements made by the examination officer
•Attend all staff meetings, department meetings, professional development meetings and pastoral meetings.
