Basic Info

1.Working Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00am – 11:55am; 1:05pm – 4:35pm, Friday from 8:00am – 11:55am; 1:05pm – 3:40pm, up to 24 periods per week with each period being 45 minutes in length;
2.Staff days: 191-193 days per calendar year for teaching staff;
3.Student Level: High School students;
4.Position: High School English Teacher;

Job Description

1.Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning;
2.Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures;
3.Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment;
4.Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction;
5.Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures;
6.Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school;
7.Provide appropriate feedback on work;
8.Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information in adjust teaching strategies;
9.Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments. Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following;
10.Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed;
11.Other duties as assigned;

Requirements

1.Native English speaker;
2.Bachelor's degree or above, major in subject related field;
3.TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification;
4.Clear criminal background check;
5.A minimum 2 years of previous teaching experience (preferably in an international school);
6.QTS/PGCE/US Teaching license or other equivalent teaching credential preferred;

Salary and Benefits

1.Base salary 20,000 to 35,000 RMB before tax per month based on experience and qualifications;
2.Housing allowance included in the base salary package;
