Job Description
Head of AP Department Duties
1.The employee will act as the leader of the foreign staff in the international division, and in cooperation with other departments, be responsible for its day-to-day operation; the employee will report directly to the director of the international division.
2.The employee will assist the director of the international division to lead the academic policies in the articulation of the school mission, school goals, department goals, course objectives, materials, methodology and means of assessment.
3.The employee will be a visible presence in all areas of the international division; to help the director of the international division toward a resolution of all problems - both routine and unique - as they arise.
4.The employee will supervise and counsel new foreign teachers, conveying information and to serve as a mentor to foreign teachers in matters of classroom management, teaching methods, and general school procedure.
5.The employee will evaluate foreign staff and provide professional development, in addition to counseling staff when on probation.
6.The employee will assist in the search for new candidates to fill foreign teacher vacancies when they arise.
7.The employee will meet with Chinese home room teachers to handle student discipline as it arises and maintain student discipline and follow up on actions related to discipline.
8.The employee may also be asked to assist in college counseling for students in grades12 in regard to college selection, application and admission procedures.
9.The employee will help the director of international department to recruit new students for the following academic year.
10.The employee will hold weekly meetings with the AP foreign staff as part of the administrative duties, in addition to performing professional development.
11.The employee will be required to present at parent teacher conferences as part of the grade reporting for exams or to inform on the changes in policies.

Teaching Duties
1.The employee will teach no more than 12 class periods (each period is 40 minutes) per week, Monday to Friday.
2.Other responsibilities will include designing the teaching methodology for the class, establishing academic goals for the course, designing the course syllabus and tests, and maintaining accurate grades and presenting them in a timely manner.
3.The employee will write letters of recommendations for students applying to college, if the teacher teaches a G11 course.

Basic Requirements:
1.Must be a native English speaker
2.Must have a Masters Degree in an Educational Field.
3.Must have fours years of experience in international programs: AP / IB / A- Level all are acceptable.
4.Must have two years of previous administration experience
5.Must have some familiarity with the courses in the AP program
6.Must be able to start by August of 2022.( If he/she could start in June,
2022,that would be best))
7.Must be willing to make a 2 year commitment.

Salary and Benefits:
Basic Salary of 28k-35k plus housing allowance of 2.5k.
