Job Posting: Foreign Humanities Teacher (AP English and Composition & Humanities Foundations)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:
Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction for AP English and Composition courses, ensuring alignment with College Board standards.
Teach introductory Humanities Foundations classes, integrating literature, critical thinking, writing, and interdisciplinary cultural studies.
Design syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that challenge students while accommodating diverse learning needs.
2. Student Development:
Provide timely feedback on essays, projects, and exams to foster academic growth.
Prepare students for AP exams through rigorous practice and skill-building.
Mentor students in academic writing, research methodologies, and analytical reasoning.
3. Collaboration & Engagement:
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and schoolwide academic initiatives.
Organize or support extracurricular activities, such as writing workshops, debate clubs, or cultural events.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
4. Professional Growth:
Stay updated on best practices in AP instruction and humanities education.
Attend professional development workshops and training sessions.
Salary and Benefits:
Month Gross Salary: 23,000 – 35,000 RMB depending on experience
Housing Allowance/ Accommodation: Housing allowance is provided If the teacher rents an
apartment by himself/herself or a furnished apartment with furniture and appliances
Work Visa and Residence Permit: The school will arrange work visa and residence permit for the teacher;
Relocation Allowance: RMB 10000/school year

Teacher’s Workload
Workload is no more than 30 periods, including 15 period of 35 minutes and 15 period of 40
minutes
Each Working day, the office hour of Teacher at school should be at least 6 hours, excluding the 12-2pm lunchtime, weekly working hours expectations as mandated by direct supervisor

Requirements:
1. Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Humanities, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching credential/license (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
AP English and Composition teaching certification or proven experience in AP instruction.
2. Experience:
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in secondary or international education.
Demonstrated success in teaching advanced writing, critical analysis, and humanities subjects.
Familiarity with AP curriculum frameworks, scoring rubrics, and exam preparation strategies.
3. Skills & Attributes:
Native or near native English proficiency (CEFR C2 level).
Strong cross-cultural competence and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Proficiency in technology enhanced teaching tools (e.g., LMS platforms, digital collaboration tools).
Passion for fostering intellectual curiosity and ethical reasoning in students.
