RESPONSIBILITIES

- Delivering lessons that foster knowledge and generate excitement for mathematics
- Teaching various topics in high school math, including: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus. For some positions, Calculus is also taught.
- Managing small and large groups of students in a classroom setting
- Initiating, facilitating, and moderating classroom discussions
- Preparing course materials in mathematics such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
- Preparing students for mathematics competitions
- Investing in student well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally
- Maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- Evaluating and grading student classwork, assignments, and papers
- Documenting student attendance, grades, and other required records
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours to provide assistance to individual students

SALARY

- 28,000 to 33,000 RMB per month ($50,000 to $57,000 per year)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor' degree in mathematics or related field
- 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Teachers over 60 are not eligible due to China's work visa policies.
- Ability to speak Chinese is NOT required.
- Experience teaching at least one of the following is preferred, but NOT always required: International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), Advanced Placement (AP), Advanced Level (A-Level), IGCSE, American Common Core.
