Position: High School Social Emotional Health Counsellor
School Type: Premier K-12 Bilingual& International School
Location: Songjiang District, Shanghai

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated High School Social Emotional Health Counsellor to join our student support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social-emotional learning programs while providing individualised support to students navigating the challenges of adolescence in a high-achieving academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver evidence-based social-emotional learning curriculum across all high school grades
Provide individual and group counselling sessions addressing anxiety, stress management, relationship building, and identity development
Develop and implement proactive mental health initiatives and wellbeing programs
Conduct regular assessments of student social-emotional needs and program effectiveness
Collaborate with faculty to integrate SEL strategies into daily classroom practices
Serve as a primary resource for crisis intervention and risk assessment
Maintain confidential records in compliance with professional standards and school policies
Facilitate workshops for parents on supporting adolescent social-emotional development
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; advanced degree(s) are preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an accredited school environment.
Academic major in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
Proven experience in school-based psychological counseling.
Valid School Psychology Counselor certification, intermediate level or higher.
