In this job you will work within the Wireless Communications Business Unit developing highly sophisticated mixed-signal system-on-chip (SoC) integrated circuits for advanced wireless applications.
The Wireless Platform Group (WPG) is currently seeking a highly motivated High Speed Interface Lead to drive the integration and validation of the high speed interfaces implemented in our product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-speed interface strategy across WPG product portfolio (SERDES, DDR, eMMC, QSPI, etc.)
- Calculate and determine link budgets for the high speed interfaces
- Co-ordinate between design teams and internal/external IP vendors
- Work with architecture and design team on coupling analysis as aggressor and victim to radio via cross coupling
- Coordinate and work across multi-disciplinary teams (IC hardware design, verification, software development, and product engineering) to drive integration efforts, determine system level specs.
- Review test plans and interface validation plans
- Guide and support mixed signal simulation test and verification for high speed interfaces
Minimum qualifications
- BS or MS of Electrical Engineering or similar
- 8 years of applicable industry experience
- Experience with high speed interface IP integration(DDR in particular)
- Strong customer focus and highly motivated to succeed. Candidate must have collaborated acoss disciplines to ensure product meets customer requirements and timelines.
- Test and debug experience required. Hands on experience with lab measurement and high speed IO characterization very desirable
- Fluency with industry tools including Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, EMX, Spice, ADS, Matlab, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
